2023 Season Opens at UND
With I-29 closed most of Friday and into the next morning, competing at the Cobber Indoor Meet was out of the question Saturday. Instead, an impromptu dual meet between RR and GFC was organized in short order. Despite the quick turnaround and lack of competition from other teams, the Riders managed to impress in their 2023 season debut, posting numerous PR’s and all-time marks. With many athletes from both teams out of town for spring break, no team scores were held.

Quotables:
“I think everyone did really well and everyone has been working hard in practice; it showed at the meet. Also, the people that were at summer throwing have shown extra improvement. Can’t wait for the next meet and see more improvement in me and my teammates.” -Senior Michael Belluk
“I thought the meet was really fun and well done for how quickly it was put together. It looked like everybody had a fun time and now we all have season bests to use in practice and to work towards beating in future meets.” -Junior Joe Nowatzki
“Run like the wind, even though this is an indoor meet and there isn’t any…BE THE WIND!” -Someone within earshot of Joe Nowatzki
