Boys 6th, Girls 10th at State

The Red River boys ended their season with a strong effort in Valley City, placing 6th at the North Dakota State High School Cross Country Meet. Tim Dunham led the Riders, placing 22nd and just missing All-State honors. Rounding out the Top-Five were Jake Arason, Cole Stenseth, Dalton Byrne, and Thomas Hugo, who all turned in solid performances. Another highlight was seventh-grader Matt Rongitsch, who placed 9th on the team and clocked an impressive 18:11.56 in his first varsity race and first 5K. Full team scoring below.

After placing 18th in 2015 and 16th in 2016, the Red River girls continued their climb upwards with a tremendous 10th place finish in Valley City. Campbell Dorsey was the top finisher, with a strong 25th place effort. The time was a personal best and the fastest Red River time since the girls switched to the 5K distance in 2016.
